In the wake of the current military take cover in Africa, Rwanda’s President, Paul Kagame, has announced the retirement of multiple senior army officers, including influential General, James Kabarebe.
The retirement numbers up to 924 military officers in the country.
Kagame who has been in office since 2000 (23years) is taking no chances after the wave of military coups in Africa particularly after the Gabonise coup that was announced yesterday.
Yesterday, there was a press release by the Rwandan government announcing the retirement of some senior officers in the military.
The statement reads:

2. H.E. THE PRESIDENT HAS ALSO APPROVED THE RETIREMENT OF 83 SENIOR OFFICERS, 06 JUNIOR OFFICERS AND 86 SENIOR NCOS, 678 END OF CONTRACT AND 160 MEDICAL DISCHARGES.
