The CIES Football Observatory, has named Nigerian and Napoli star striker, Victor Osimhen as the world’s most valuable African footballer.
Using a statistical model, Osimhen was placed among the top 100 most valuable footballers worldwide and given a value of €77.3 million, making him the highest-ranked African on the list and placing him at number 40.
This valuation puts him above Liverpool and Egypt’s Mohamed Salah, who is valued at €61.2 million.
Morocco’s Achraf Hakimi and Ghana’s Mohammed Kudus also appear on the list, valued at €53.7 million and €53.5 million respectively.
