The Independent National Electoral Commission has decided to prosecute the suspended Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) for Adamawa State, Barrister Hudu Yunusa Ari, NewsSpecng has learnt.
Besides, INEC in its emergency meeting on Tuesday also decided to continue the collation of results in the state.
INEC had halted the collation of the Saturday supplementary elections results following the illegal and sudden announcement of the presumed winner of the election by the REC, while collation was still ongoing.
The meeting,NewsSpecng gathered has decided to write the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, to investigate the suspended REC and prosecute him accordingly.
Meanwhile, the Commission has decided to continue the collation of results of last Saturday poll.
