The National Population Commission, NPC has postponed indefinitely the training of staff for the forthcoming census exercise earlier scheduled for 13th April.
The commission announced this on Tuesdsy through a memo signed by Arin Olanipekun, a Director in NPC.
The commission had earlier announced accreditation of enumerators for 12th and training exercise for 13th April April.
The memo reads : “I am directed to inform you that, sequel to emerging issues, concerning the upcoming LGA training, that was scheduled to commence on Thursday 13th April 2023, all arrangements should be put on hold till further notice
” Accordingly, states which have already sent out invitations to functionaries should kindly withdraw them and await further directives”
