The Peoples Democratic Party Presidential candidate of the just concluded general elections, Atiku Abubakar led the national leadership of the party on Monday to a ‘black uniform’ protest to the national headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Abuja.
The streets march, the party said was a protest against the outcome of the February 25 poll.
Also in attendance was the Vice Presidential Candidate of the party and Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State. Also in attendance was Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State and PDP National Chairman, Iyorcha Ayu amongst other leaders.
Atiku in his speech said the protest embarked upon by the party would continue for a long time.
“In fact, this protest will continue for a very long time, either every day or any other day,” Atiku told Arise TV reporter in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, during the Monday protest.
