The Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been declared winner of the Saturday poll with a vote of 8,794,726 million.
The total registered voters was 93,469,008 million with only 25,286,617l6 million.
The total vote cast is 24,965,218 while rejected vote is 24,025,940.
He is thereby declared president-elect.
Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party scored 6,984,520 million. He was closely followed by Peter Obi of the Labour Party who poll 6,10,533
Rabiu Kwakwanso of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP came a distant fourth with 1,496,687.
18 political parties were registered for the 2023 General Elections.
Relying on section of the constitution, INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu at about 4.09am Wednesday declared Tinubu the winner.
He said, ” that Bola Tinubu Ahmed of the All Progressives Congress, having satisfied the requirements, is hereby declared the winner and returned elected.”
Already, there is jubilation at the residence and the party headquarters in Abuja
