…Pro- Emefiele protesters in Abuja
President Muhammadu Buhari has welcomed the CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele at the villa today
This is coming just few minutes after the supreme court judgement stopping the CBN’s February 10th deadline of Swapping the old naira notes.
The reason for the meeting or the outcome has not been made known but it is perceived to be about the supreme court order earlier today
The president has been in a couple of meetings with the CBN Governor in the wake of the current crisis of the naira redesign, scarcity and swapping of old notes.
Meanwhile pro-Emefiele protesters stormed the Federal Capital Territory on Wednesday exonerating the governor of the apex bank.
The protesters marched to the Central Bank under the protection of uniform men. The protesters in one of the placard heap the blame of cash crunch on commercial banks and some politicians. Those who objected to the deadline where also listed among those behind cash scarcity in the land.
