Pastor Jimmy Odukoya Introduces New Wife to Fountain of Life Congregation

Releated Post

The Senior Pastor of Fountain of Life Church, Lagos, Pastor Jimmy Odukoya, has introduced his new wife, Pastor Mo Odukoya, to his congregation.

He made the announcement during Sunday service on November 1, 2026, at the church headquarters in Ilupeju.
A day earlier, Odukoya had posted an image of two hands wearing wedding rings on Instagram, captioned “To New Beginnings.” Given his previous marriage to Oluwakemi Banjoko, whom he wed in London in 2013 and with whom he has two children, the post sparked speculation among followers, and some sent congratulatory messages.
“Did I do well?”
The reveal came on Sunday. In a playful moment, Odukoya told the congregation, “You people just like gists. It’s time to go home,” drawing a loud “No!” He then teased them with the words “New beginning,” to cheers and applause. He asked the church pianist to play an instrumental and danced briefly before the announcement.
He said he had been single for some time after taking over leadership of the church, citing the Bible’s teaching that it is not good for man to be alone.
“I was looking and searching, and I found,” he said, describing the moment as a “Kairos moment.” Referring to his Instagram post, he added, “Is it artwork? Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, no, no, it’s my wife.”
He then introduced “Pastor Mrs Odukoya,” and Mo Odukoya walked out as the congregation stood to welcome her. Odukoya walked her up the stairs to the stage and asked the congregation, “Did I do well?” They replied, “Yes.”
Mrs Odukoya, the daughter of Revd. Titus Daniel and Revd. Mrs Bolaji Daniel, said it was her pleasure and honour to stand alongside her husband.
Odukoya called on his late mother’s brother, Pastor Tunde Bakare, General Overseer of The Citadel Global Community Church, whom he described as a “voice of wisdom” with a long history with his mother’s family.
Bakare, joined by his wife, Olayide, prayed for the couple. He said he was aware of the challenges the church has faced but was confident they would be overcome, and prayed for the repose of Odukoya’s late parents. He noted that the couple married in the United States, though he did not know when.
“We are not here to sweep anything under the carpet. All things must be done decently and in order,” Bakare said in his prayer. He asked God to take over, expand and grow the church, and prayed that the couple’s home would be “an example to follow, and not a mistake to avoid.”
