Touched by the impressive track records of Cross River Microfinance and Enterprise Development Agency (MEDA) in driving the growth of small enterprises across the state, the Nigerian Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (NASME) has indicated interest to partner with the Agency.
This pact was disclosed when the NASME Chapter Chairman, Declan Ogar, led a team on a courtesy visit to the management of MEDA.
Speaking during the visit, Ogar, remarked that the association remains fiercely dedicated to the growth, development and advocacy for SMEs nationwide.
He also pointed out that there was need to forge a strategic collaboration with MEDA in order to strengthen MSME development while creating a more resilient ecosystem in the state.
Responding, the Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of CR-MEDA, Great Ogban, maintained that the partnership remains apt and timely as it would significantly increase access to vital opportunities for local small businesses.
Ogban noted that the ultimate goal of this synergy is to boost the state’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and sustainably improve the livelihoods of its citizens.
As the country’s leading apex business membership organization for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, NASME continues to champion advocacy, capacity building and market access.
By collaborating with global partners like the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), NASME also aims to leverage its robust network to bring sustainable growth to Cross River’s entrepreneurial landscape, through this new alliance with MEDA.
