Honourable Ali Isa JC, The Minority Whip of the House of Representatives, has announced his resignation from  the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) this Tuesday afternoon.

Ali Isa JC, who represents Balanga/Billiri Federal Constituency, made this known in a letter sent to his Kindiyo Ward Chairman of the PDP, Balanga LGA, and shared to newsmen in Gombe.

The federal legislator recently visited his State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of the APC where he praised Governor Inuwa for creating an enabling environment for him (Ali Isa JC) to execute his programmes and projects in his constituency.

He however declined commenting on a planned defection to the APC following the visit to the Governor then.

In his resignation letter, Ali Isa JC said he was compelled to dump the PDP because of the way and manner some undemocratic forces hijacked the party.

According to the letter, “Respectfully, I write to tender my resignation from the membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with immediate effect.

“My decision is compelled by the way and manner some undemocratic forces have hijacked the party for reasons that are contrary to the founding principles and philosophy of the party which created a factional leadership

“Consequently, after a series of rigorous consultations with my family, political associates, friends, and relevant stakeholders, I have arrived at the conclusion that the path to my political future, as well as the political future of the great people who gave me their mandate to represent them at the House of Representatives, lies outside the PDP.

“It is my firm belief that the people of my constituency deserve a platform on which their interests and political future will be better guaranteed”, he pointed out.

While thanking the leadership and membership of the PDP for giving him the platform on which he represented the people of Balanga/Billiri Federal Constituency, he said, “I will ever remain grateful, and wish you all the best”.

End.
