Member representing Balanga/Billiri Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Honourable Ali Isa JC and his wife, Sa’adatu Ali Isa, have appealed for prayers, support and understanding from their constituents during this Muslim Ramadan fast and the Christian Lent period.
They made the call separately while supervising the distribution of palliatives to Muslim and Christian Women in their residence in Cham town, Balanga Local Government Area of Gombe State.
Hajiya Sa’adatu, while engaging the women who turned out in their hundreds for the support, during a discussion session, assured the women of her husband’s readiness to continually support them to the best of his abilities.
She therefore solicited for prayers, support and understanding from the constituents for her husband while discharging his responsibilities considering the fact that not all their needs could be met at the same time.
She however promised that the empowerment driver will be a continuous exercise and will ensure that every constituent feels the positive impact of Honourable Ali’s representation in the NASS.
According to her, there is a great need for the people to conduct themselves in a responsible manner, as such, “we are open to advise and constructive criticism”, suggesting that “people should find proper channels of lodging their needs and complaints in their areas. But it is not proper to go on social media abusing and cursing Ali Isa JC and expect any response.
“People should come themselves, write or come through our sides, SA’s to channel their concerns or whatever they want for their communities”, she pleaded.
During an interview with Honourable Ali Isa JC, he stated that apart from making laws and initiating projects and policies, he has invested hugely in the provision of empowerment of his people while also calling for prayers and support.
He explained that this year’s Ramadan fast and the Lent season came in a unique way as the two religious events commenced on the same day.
“We feel it is important to bring our brothers and sisters in the Muslim and Christian faiths together, sit and talk together and give them all the necessary support during this season to encourage peaceful coexistence in the constituency and Nigeria as a whole.
Items distributed to the women included bags (25kg) of rice, sums of money among many others all amounting to millions of naira.
End.
