…Available in Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Kenya
A new Pan-African digital payment platform, SpendEase, has been unveiled.
The platform has officially launched operations across Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, and Kenya, offering seamless cross-border payment solutions.
It is aimed at eliminating currency barriers and high transaction costs for Africans.
The platform, SpendEase, became publicly available after months of beta testing and can now be downloaded on both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, the company Founder, Cindy Ihua-Maduenyi announced on Saturday.
She said the platform was designed to serve travellers, freelancers, remote workers, and business owners by enabling them to send, spend and receive money across supported African countries.
“This is by using their local currencies without excessive exchange rates or delayed settlement times”.
According to her, SpendEase is built to reflect the financial realities of everyday African living, providing fast, affordable, and transparent cross-border transactions.
“With mySpendEase, users can finally transact across Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa and Kenya without worrying about unusual transaction rates or slow settlement times,” Ihua-Maduenyi said.
She noted that the company’s mission is to make cross-border payments easy, affordable, and accessible to everyone across the continent.
According to her, key features currently available on the mySpendEase app include instant remittances to and from supported African countries.
She said that other features are competitive real-time currency exchange with full transparency, seamless cross-border payments within Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa, as well as a 24/7 AI-integrated in-app customer relations desk.
The founder also disclosed plans to introduce virtual cards and crypto-to-fiat services in subsequent updates.
Founded by a pan-African team, Ihua-Maduenyi said the platform was created to help Africans remain financially connected across borders, whether for personal or business transactions.
She described mySpendEase as a major step toward simplifying intra-African financial transactions.
“SpendEase was built as a practical solution for Africans who move, work, trade, and do business across borders. Our goal is to remove friction and empower users with financial freedom across the continent,” she said.
