Speaker of the Nigerian Youth Parliament (NYP) Rt. Hon. Aliyu Zakari Idris, has passed a Vote of Confidence on the administration of Governor Dikko Umar Radda of Katsina State after leading a delegation of over 100 youths from the 36 States of the Federation and the FCT on a project tour of the State.
Impressed by what he described as the “giant strides” in infrastructure, agriculture, and healthcare, the Speaker noted that the Agricultural Mechanisation Centre alone houses over 400 tractors and thousands of solar water pumps, one of the largest collections in the country.
Apart from the Agricultural Mechanisation Centre where the Director of Mechanisation, Engr. Yusuf Ibrahim took them round, the NYP delegation also visited the newly constructed Dialysis Centre, road networks, flyovers, and several other transformative projects across Katsina State.
While at the state-of-the-art Dialysis Centre, General Amadi Rimi Orthopaedics and Specialist Hospital, the youth parliamentarians received a comprehensive briefing and tour of the facility from the Centre Lead.
They were informed that the Dialysis Centre was fully constructed and equipped under the administration of Governor Radda.
The inspection tour was part of the Parliament’s activities carried out during its plenary session in Katsina, aimed at assessing developmental impact and strengthening youth engagement in governance.
Following the tour, the delegation expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work done. Impressed by what they saw, they passed a vote of confidence the Governor for for what they described as his commitment to improving the lives of citizens.
Governor Dikko Umar Radda had recently approved the hosting of the Second Plenary Sitting of the Nigerian Youth Parliament in Katsina State, which was held from 30th November to 4th December 2025.
