The Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri has dumped People Democratic Party.
He resigned his membership from the PDP along with 23 members of the State House of Assembly.
The governor’s spokesman, Daniel Alabrah, confirmed the resignation on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.
All is now set for Governor Diri to pitch his tent with the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The confirmation ends months of speculations about the governor’s defection to the ruling APC.
And that would be the end of the party in the South South as the Rivers State conquered Governor Siminalayi Fubara is one half leg in PDP and the body is in APC
