A total of 6,232,673 Nigerians have completed online pre-registration in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has revealed in its Week 6 update covering September 22–28, 2025.
Of this number, 3,250,338 are females (52.15%), while 2,982,335 are males (47.85%). Youths aged 18–34 continue to dominate the process with 4,230,715 registrations, including 1,565,824 students.
The Commission also recorded 137,865 persons with disabilities (PWDs) who pre-registered within the period.
INEC’s records further show that in Week 5 (September 22–26, 2025), 1,004,132 registrations were completed through both online and physical processes.
This figure includes 537,743 online and 466,389 physical registrations.
Women also led in completed registrations during that week with 555,077 (55.28%), compared to 449,055 (44.72%) males.
Youths between 18 and 34 years accounted for 742,379, while 354,406 students and 13,987 PWDs also finalized their registrations.
INEC emphasized its commitment to ensuring unhindered access to voter registration, urging citizens to take advantage of the exercise to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of upcoming elections.
