With a short statement, Bayer Leverkusen on X announcing the departure of former Manchester United and Ajax boss Erik ten Hag.
Bayer Leverkusen confirmed the departure of manager Erik ten Hag after just three games in charge.
It read: “Bayer 04 Leverkusen has parted ways with head coach Erik ten Hag with immediate effect. Training will be taken over by the assistant coaching staff for the time being.”
Ten Hag signed a two-year contract with the Bundesliga side in May, succeeding Xabi Alonso who left for Real Madrid.
He leaves with a record of one win, one draw and one defeat.
