Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has commissioned a brand new computer laboratory for his alma mata, Government Science and Technical College Bukuru, in Plateau State.
Governor Sule commissioned the facility tagged “BOSAT Computer Laboratory” on Saturday, in company of the first civilian governor of Nasarawa State, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, and two traditional rulers who were also old boys of the school.
A visibly excited Governor Sule said he found it necessary to personally donate the 25 computers in order to enhance digital literacy at the Government Science and Technical College Bukuru because the school laid the foundation for him to get to his present position in life.
He expressed optimism that the laboratory would facilitate learning for the students as the country transits to a digital economy.
The Governor recalled his earlier intervention which saw to the reconstruction of the school gate befitting the status of the old GTTS Bukuru.
Recall that recently, BOSAT, the institution’s old students’ association appointed the Governor its grand patron, following which Governor Sule promised to personally donate 25 computers to the school.
Surrounded by his former schoolmates like Amingo, the Governor appreciated the presence of the first principal of the school, Elder Godwin Gambe, at the event.
Recall also that Governor Sule enrolled in the then Government Technical College Bukuru in 1977.
