Abuja-Kaduna train Tuesday derailed enroute to Kaduna, NewsSpecng gathered.
The incident which happened around 11am Tuesday morning, shortly after take off from Abuja left many passengers stranded.
The cause of the derailment is, however, unclear as there has been no official confirmation of the incident by the management of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC).
The government has already deployed security operatives to the area to secure the passengers.
The number of passengers on the train were yet to be ascertained at the time of filing this report, but NewsSpecng gathered that the train is close to capacity.
