President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed Vice President Shettima to proceed to UK to accompany body back home
He also ordered the National flags at half-mast as a mark of respect for the departed leader.
This was disclosed in a release by presidential spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga.
Tinubu spoke with Hajiya Aisha Buhari when he consoled her over the death of the Former President Buhari, who was twice elected Nigeria’s President in 2015 and 2023 having served as military head of state between January 1984 and August 1985.
Buhari died on Sunday in London at about 4.30 pm, following a prolonged illness.
