The Forum of State Chairmen in the African Democratic Congress ADC has expressed satisfaction with the emergence of an interim leadership for the party to spearhead the coalition against the ruling All progressives Congress APC, led by Senator David Mark and Mr. Rauf Aregbesola.
The forum chairman, Mr. Kingsley Ogga during an interaction with journalists after a meeting with the new leadership of the party in Abuja, expressed satisfaction with the new leadership of the party, emphasizing that all the state chairmen were carried along during the coalition talks which he said have been on for about three years.
He said that the entire chairmen owed their allegiance to the current leadership of the ADC adding that there is no dissenting voice among them
.
Earlier, the acting National Publicity Secretary of the party, Malam Bolaji Abdullahi explained that the meeting was convened to reassure the state chairmen that the leadership of the party would work with them throughout the process.
He dismissed the claims by the 2023 presidential candidate of the party, Mr. Dumebi Kachukwu, who had faulted the coalition and the new leadership of ADC, insisting that the move was legally upright.
Present at the meeting were 37 state chairmen of the party, including that of the federal capital territory, the Acting National Chairman, Senator David Mark, the Senator Representing FCT, Ireti Kingibe, former Cross River State governor Liel Imoke and other party supporters.
