As Pro-fitness, a leading health and wellness brand in Calabar, gears up for its 10th annual Independence Day fitness walk themed, “Everywhere Good,” the Director General of Cross River Microfinance and Enterprise Development Agency, Great Ogban, has assured of his agency’s endorsement of the lined up events.
Ogban gave the assurance when the management of Pro-fitness, paid him a courtesy visit in Calabar, the Cross River capital, recently.
The MEDA DG/CEO commended the Pro-fitness team for being consistent in her activities which spans over a decade.
He further endorsed the event on behalf of the agency, assuring the team of maximum support to enable it achieve its set goals without rancour.
Manager, Corporate Affairs and Client Services at MEDA, Nissi Ibiang, also elaborated on the agency’s relevant activities in light of the partnership request.
Earlier, Executive Officer and Project Lead for Pro-fitness, Dr. Paul Njan, disclosed that the visit was to partner with MEDA in view of its unflinching commitment to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) development.
He applauded the feat recorded through “MEDA’s People First Enterprise Clubs and Competitions,” which align perfectly with the Pro-fitness goal of nurturing business development mindsets among secondary school students.
According to Njan, the group’s activities during the forthcoming anniversary celebration would include the distribution of sanitary pads to young girls, school bags and sandals to boys, as well as medical outreach program for the general public.
“A key highlight will also be a pitch competition among school children aimed at fostering entrepreneurial skills.
“This year’s milestone celebration will go beyond the traditional fitness walk, incorporating a series of impactful outreach events designed to benefit various community groups,” the Pro-fitness project lead, assured.
Pro-fitness, established over ten years ago, has consistently encouraged the public to embrace fitness and active lifestyles for better health.
