The Spokesperson of the Borno police command, ASP Daso Kenneth, said only ten people have died in the suicide attack on evening hours of Friday 20 June.

Several persons have been killed by a bomb explosion believed to have been detonated by a female suicide bomber in Konduga Town, Borno State.

The explosion occurred around 9:30 at night on Friday at Tashan Kifi, an entry point also known as the fish market in Konduga Town.

“Security agencies were able to condone off the area, evacuated the victims, while the injured ones have been rushed to hospitals in Maiduguri for treatment.

“Let me use this opportunity to call on the members of the public to continue giving useful information to the police and other security agencies on the movement of any suspected criminals, as the war against terrorists should not be left in the hands of security agencies alone”, the PPRO stated.
