His Majesty, Ogiamẹ Atuwatse III, CFR, the Olu of Warri on Thursday 19th June set his royal feet on the soil of Ugboegungu in and declare blessings and peace in the community, which is along the bank of the atlantic ocean.

It is also the revered monarch’s initiative of physically stepping his feet on all the communities which make up Warri Kingdom -stretching across what is present day Warri South, Warri North and Warri South-West LGAs of Delta State .

This visit has become a culturally fashionable routine and reward for communities who successfully mount the Guard over the palace of the Olu of Warri in a quarter. It has become the eve of the popular GHIGHÓ AGHỌFẸN, which comes up on Saturday June 21, 2025.

The Olu of Warri’s visit to the Ugboegungun community is a significant event that showcases his commitment to his people and their traditions.
During this visit, Ugwa-Olu, the King expresses gratitude to the community for their loyalty and support, specifically for keeping watch over the palace for the last three months .
