The President of the Economic Community of West African States, Omar Alieu Touray has dispatched a technical mission to Guinea Conakry to support the country’s return to constitutional rule.
The mission aimed at reaffirming ECOWAS’ commitment to supporting Guinea in its transition process.
The delegation which is already in Conakry is led by ECOWAS Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security, Ambassador Abdel-Fatau Musah.
Musah and the members of his delegation, according to a statement by the Commission, Head of Communication, Joel Ahofodji held talks with several Guinean authorities on Thursday 10 and Friday 11 April 2025.
The discussions with various authorities of Guinea were said to have bothered on monitoring the implementation of the agreement signed between the two parties on a ten (10) point timetable for the return to constitutional order.
