Gombe State Police Command now has a new Commissioner, Mr Bello Yahaya, who takes over from Mr Hayatu Usman who was redeployed to the Force Headquarters, Abuja.
Buhari Abdullahi (DSP), the Command’s spokesman in a statement issued to newsmen said, Bello Yahaya, the 23rd Police Commissioner in the State, was Commissioner of Police in-charge of Courses, Police Staff Collage Jos, before he was deployed to head Gombe Police Command.
Born in Shinkafi, Shinkafi L.G.A of Zamfara State, CP Bello Yahaya started his career in the Nigeria Police Force on 15th August, 1996 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), and trained at the Prestigious Nigeria Police Academy Wudil, Kano.
Before taking over the mantle of leadership of Gombe State Police Command, CP Bello Yahaya, served at different departments within the Force and on secondment to different formations of the Force across the country.
He has also attended several courses in Nigeria as well as the National Policing Centre, Bramshill, U.K and International Law Enforcement Academy, Rosewell, New Mexico, U.S.A.
The Police Public Relations Officer urged members of the public to take note of the new development and continue to cooperate with the Command in fostering peace in the State.
