Udeh Okoye Remains PDP National Secretary: Enugu Appeal Court Ruling Implemented – PDP

PDP reverses Anyim, Fayose, others suspension

Releated Post

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has reaffirmed Hon. Sunday Udeh-Okoye as its National Secretary, following the implementation of the Enugu Appeal Court ruling. This decision puts an end to any controversy surrounding the position, as the court’s judgment has been upheld.

The Enugu Appeal Court had previously ruled that Senator Samuel Anyanwu ceased to be the National Secretary of the PDP upon becoming the party’s gubernatorial candidate in Imo State. The court declared that Anyanwu’s replacement with Hon. Udeh-Okoye by the PDP South East Zonal Executive Committee was in conformity with the party’s constitution.

Despite Anyanwu’s attempts to defy the court order and resume duty as National Secretary, Hon Debo Ologunagba, the Party’s National Publicity Secretary maintained that the judgment is a declaratory one that cannot be stayed.

Hon Debo Ologunagba, emphasized that the PDP is a law-abiding party and will continue to follow the rule of law.

With this development, the PDP has reaffirmed its commitment to upholding the rule of law and respecting the judgments of the courts.

The party remains focused on its mission to provide good governance and leadership to the Nigerian people.
