The Nasarawa state chapter of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has dismissed the January 2nd, 2025 sack of cabinet members by governor Abdullahi Sule, saying the exercise is a mere cover for dozens other monumental failures by the APC led administration.

In a press statement signed by the state Press Secretary, PDP, Hon Jonathan Ipaa and made available to newsmen in Lafia, the opposition PDP said, Gov Sule has committed more unjustifiable policies and needed the sack to divert attention from the scrutiny of the people.

“The governor’s action is just one of many lined ups to continue to decieve the public on his monumental failures and policy summersault which has affected the socio-economic fabric of the state negatively.

“Just name one area of development that he is straight to action: is it the over #5bn Nasarawa luxury ride buses that were hired and painted for ex President Muhammadu Buhari to commission in 2023..
“Is it the scandalous recruitment of 2500 teachers we were able to unearthed which he later responded by sacking the Teachers Service Commission, TSC?

“Or is it the over bloated road contracts of Gudi-Morro in his village or the 3 kilometers Masaka -Luvu access road he commissioned while spilling took over a few weeks after their commission?

“We charge the people to ask questions about who were these contractors and how much of the taxpayers’ were committed into these roads that are already death trap a few months after commissioning.”

“We observe that the January sacking of cabinet members is another gimmick the ruling APC want to keep the state in suspense while good governance continue to delude the young state that is nagging for rapid development”.
