Cross River SEMA gets new boss

Following the successful local government election in Cross River which saw the former Director General of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Apostle James Anam, clinching the Mayor position of Calabar Municipality, the governor, Prince Bassey Otu, has approved the appointment of a new DG for the Agency.

A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Nsa Gill, named the new occupier of the Agency as Antigha Edem Gill.

Also a director who hitherto served in the Agency, Christiana Eso, has been replaced following her victory at the polls during the local government elections and subsequent assumption of office as the vice chairman of Bakassi local government council.

The statement informed that Eso would be replaced by Ako Nsa Ekpenyong, in the Agency’s directorate.

The governor further charged the new DG as well as other directors in the Agency, to ensure they discharge their functions efficiently and effectively in line with the mandate of the office.
