Former Oyo State governor, Senator Rasheed Ladoja has been commended for not igniting protests during his political travails in the State.

The traditional ruler of Ilala community, Aala, Ilala Kingdom, Oba AbdulFatai Talabi Oladega made the remarks in his salutations to the Ibadan veteran politician who adds another year.

He said, Senator Ladoja’s position in retrospect, was “a significant milestone for the rule of law” stressing that ” had he chosen the path of the might is right, the situation would have degenerated into multi dimensional crisis”

He noted that Senator Ladoja’s resolve “to seek court intervention singled him out as a true democrat”.

The Royal Father identified with his “inspiring journey in politics and valuable contributions to strengthening traditional institutions as the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, describing this attribute as “a worthy role model that speaks to the virtues of patience and perseverance”.

He commended his selflessness, patriotism and integrity, which culminated into his records of successes in business and politics. Senator Ladoja as a democrat, he affirmed, “pursued the course of Justice to the Appeal Court where his impeachment was declared illegal” and he was reinstated as governor in 2006.
