Otu smells illegality, reverses postings

Cross River governor, Prince Bassey Otu, has directed the immediate reversal of recent postings made by the State Secondary Education Board.

A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Nsa Gill, and made available to newsmen in Calabar, the Cross River capital, says the reversal will remain in effect until further notice.

Part of the statement read: “The governor disapproves of the allegations of bias, financial motives and lack of transparency surrounding the postings.”

It also advised that “any individual who may have made payments to influence their postings should request an immediate refund.”

The governor through the statement, assured that he remains “dedicated to implementing higher standards and implementing reforms in the State’s educational system.”
