Aglow International in Nigeria has held it’s 15th National Conference in Gombe State with a charge on women to do exploits by enlarging their territory spiritually.

In their separate messages sent to the conference in Gombe, the President/CEO, Jane Hansen Hoyt and the Africa Committee Chairperson, Mrs Elizabeth Daka Mbuzi, Aglow International, expressed concern over the growing crisis in many parts of the world.

According to Jane Hansen, “the whole world is in a time of shaking”, adding that “Biblical values that we hold dear are being challenged by anti-Christ spirits that work through flesh and blood. You face consistent threats from terrorists. It is all very real and many times, right in your face”.

She therefore enjoined women to lean unto the truth in times like this. “Our God is unshakable, the plans He has for us individually, for our nation, for Nigeria cannot be stopped. Once He has spoken, those plans, those purposes will come to pass”, she encouraged the women.

In her own speech, Mrs Elizabeth Daka Mbuzi, Africa Committee Chairperson of Aglow International, described the theme as timely stressing that, “Enlarge your territory, couldn’t have come at a time like this when chaos seems to be the order of the day in the world today”.

The National President of Aglow International in Nigeria, Mrs Bisi Adeluyi, in her own charge during the three day conference that brought together members from the 36 States and Abuja, to the International Hotel Gombe, they must exhibit spiritual chastity to make a difference in these hard times.

She said the theme for this year’s conference, taken from the Bible book of Isaiah 54:1-3, was carefully selected to encourage the women to sing and rejoice in spite of any lack of fruitfulness or desolation they may have experienced in the past.

In an interview with journalists, Mrs Adeluyi emphasized that the conference provided an opportunity for the women to take advantage of God’s grace and experience expansion beyond limits.

She said the expected take home for the women is that, “if we trust in the economy or people, it will fail but if we trust in God He will open your eyes to situations and opportunities that will enlarge you and make a way for you where there is no way”.

Earlier in her message, the guest speaker, Pastor Gladys Mbami, reminded the women and the Church in general that they are vessels that God can use to empower His people with abilities and resources in this end time.

“We enlarge our territory for God to manage the resources in our hands. This is God’s call so that He will empower us the more to take charge of different areas of endeavours family, business and many others”, she maintained.

Vice President of Aglow International in Nigeria, Mrs Grace Samuel, who is in charge of leadership and training and also chaired the Conference Local Organising Committee (LOC), told Journalists in an interview that this year’s conference is focused on “how God will enlarge us spiritually, financially, economically and physically”.

She said, “we are looking unto God to enlarge us as a nation so that hunger will be done away with. We are looking unto God coming in a unique way to give us hope over life generally.

“We will overcome all those things that are limiting us, creating problems in the country, with God on our side, we will lack nothing. So, the message to the women is, not to fret, God has seen us through many trials before, he can still see us through even now”, Mrs Grace admonished.

Aglow International, started in 1967 in Seattle, Washington, USA, is a non denominational Christian Women Ministry that is existing in 170 countries of the world including Nigeria. It currently has its presence in all the thirty-six states and FCT Abuja, of Nigeria.
