Otu appoints deputy COS, 21 Special Advisers, over 160 others.

Cross River governor, Prince Bassey Otu, has approved the appointment of a new deputy Chief of Staff in the person of Mr. Boniface Okache.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Nsa Gill, and made available to newsmen in Calabar.

Other appointments the governor approved were 21 Special Advisers, 15 Senior Special Assistants, 19 Special Assistants including heads and members of Boards and agencies, totaling over 125.

The release also announced dates for the mandatory documentation of the new appointees to be held in the office of the Secretary to the State Government.

“All the recently appointed persons by the Governor, Prince Bassey Otu, into various positions and responsibilities in government, are by this notice expected to abide by the schedule for their mandatory documentation in the office of the Secretary to the state government,” Gill said.

According to him, documentation for Special Advisers will take place today, Wednesday, July 10, while that of Senior special assistants will hold on Thursday and Friday being July 11 and 12, 2024.

For Heads and members of Boards and Agencies, the release announced Monday, July 15 to Wednesday, July 17, 2024 as dates for their documentation.

It further disclosed that “the schedule is simply for the purpose of orderliness and ease of handling for the desk staff.”
