Finidi Appoints Amokachi, Baruwa, Two Foreigners As Assistants

New Super Eagles head Coach, Finidi George, has appointed Daniel Amokachi, Abiodun Baruwa and two foreigners as part of his backroom staff.

Finidi who has formally resigned from his position as head coach of Enyimba on Sunday, May 12, announced the appointment of Amokachi and others shortly after his unveiling as new Coach of Super Eagles on Monday in Abuja.

Finidi was unveiled at a brief ceremony by NFF in Abuja on Monday.

The names of the two foreign assistants will be announced before the Super Eagles play their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying fixtures against Bafana Bafana of South Africa and Squirrels of Benin.

He also retained Abiodun Baruwa, the goalkeeper’s trainer under the previous head coach, Jose Peseiro.
