Nigeria and Canada have opened discussions on the possibility of establishing defence manufacturing industry in the country.
The idea dominated discussion during a meeting between Nigeria Defence Minister, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar and the Canadian High Commissioner to Nigeria, Dr. Jamie Christof.
Their discussions centered on the longstanding military partnership between Nigeria and Canada, with a particular emphasis on the potential participation of Canadian firms in establishing defense manufacturing industries in Nigeria.
The Canadian High Commissioner applauded Nigeria’s security forces for their recent achievements in tackling regional insecurity, expressing appreciation to President Tinubu for his steadfast commitment to enhancing security across the country.
