Five students of Nasarawa State University Keffi ( NSUK) have been confirmed dead while over 10 are in coma following a stampede over sharing of palliatives.
The incident happened in the morning of Friday 22 March 2024.
The state government had directed that palliatives be shared in higher institutions in the state .
The students who thronged the venue in their hundreds were seen scampering for the palliatives which apparently would not be enough for them.
Many of them fell down and we’re tramped upon following the melee and were rushed to Federal Medical center Keffi were five were confirmed dead as at the time of filing this report.
Not fewer that ten were still in coma and are being attended to by medical personnel.
