The hammer came falling on Senator Abdul Ningi (PDP – Bauchi Central) on Tuesday, as the Senate slammed a three month suspension on him.
Ningi was suspended for bringing the Senate to disrepute.
The session was presided over by the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.
Akpabio said the integrity of the Senate has been totally damaged.
Ningi had claimed that the National Assembly padded the 2024 budget with a whooping sum of N3tn.
He also alleged that the President was operating another budgets outside the one passed by the Senate.
He has however denied the claims.
