In a strategic move to bolster environmental sustainability in Delta State, the Honourable Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Jamani Tommy Ejiro, went on a productive visit to Lagos State seeking Partnership for Environmental Sustainability from their renowned environmental management practices.
Mr. Jamani emphasized the importance of cultivating alliances with states that have demonstrated effective environmental management strategies.
He commended Lagos State’s pioneering efforts in waste management and pollution control as a guiding light for Delta’s environmental ambitions.
The commissioner expressed Delta State’s commitment to environmental preservation as he highlighted ongoing initiatives aimed at mitigating climate change and fostering sustainable practices.
In his response, Lagos State’s Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Barr. Tokunbo Wahab, warmly welcomed the proposal for collaboration.
He pledged full support to assist Delta State in developing robust environmental management frameworks, stressing the significance of peer review, networking, and knowledge sharing.
