Independet National Electoral Commission INEC has announced 14rh February 2024 for supplementary election in Taraba State.
INEC also announced the same date for a new rerun for Enugu State.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by National Commissional and Chiarman, Information and Voter Education Committee, Sam Olumekun.
But for Kuchi/Tsanyawa local Government of Kano State, the Commission said it would communicate a new date. It cited security concerns for the delay.
The commission therefore urged all eligble voters and stateholders in the impacted polling unit in Taraba and Enugu states to participate peacefully in the up coming election and support their preferred candidate.
INEC suspended the bye-rerun elections in these areas last Saturday due to violennt outbreak.
“Enugu South 1 State Constituency, Enugu State where election is suspended in all eight Polling Units where the original results sheets were not available for inspection by voters before the commencement of polls.
“Kunchi/Tsanyawa State Constituency, Kano State where election is suspended in all ten Polling Units in Kunchi LGA due to invasion, vandalization, and disruption by thugs.
