The suspended National Coordinator and Chief Executive Officer of the National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA), Halima Shehu has been released from the the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
Shehu was released after being grilled for two days about N37,170,855,753.44 allegedly diverted by her agency.
The EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale confirmed her release on Thursday.
Oyewale added that the agency mandated Mrs Shehu to always make herself available at their office anytime the need arises.
“She was the National Coordinator in charge of the Conditional Cash Transfer Programme under the Ministry during Buhari’s tenure, and she has been queried over some of the money that left the ministry’s coffers through her,” NAN quoted the EFCC spokesperson to have said.
