President and Founder of a leading football giant in Gombe State, FC Yarmalight of Gombe, Malam Farouk Yarma, says the club is happy to celebrate fifteen years of steady football growth.
In a message of goodwill and appreciation to the players, management and fans of the club, made available to our correspondent, Malam Farouk Yarma, a youth mentor, enthusiastic football lover and administrator, gave glowing encomiums to the club over it’s fifteen years of steady football successes.
He said the club is immensely proud of the contributions, innovations, and competitive spirit that FC Yarmalight has brought to Nigerian football.
According to him, “from our humble beginnings in the non-league to our achievements in the Nigeria National League (NNL) and beyond, we have strived to uphold a standard of excellence and sportsmanship”.
He said, as the club reflects on it’s journey, it is overwhelmed with gratitude for the steadfast support, patience, and encouragement it has enjoyed throughout the years.
To it’s supporters, well wishers and football lovers all over the world, it said, “your belief in FC Yarmalight has been the cornerstone of our success, and for that, we are eternally grateful”.
Speaking on the club’s successes, Malam Farouk said, “We are honored to have represented Gombe State in the FA Cup and to have secured victories that have brought glory to our community.
“Our development initiatives and the quality players we have produced stand as a testament to our dedication to the growth of football at both local and international levels”, he stated gladly.
“Most importantly, we are humbled by the impact we have had on the youth in our community.
“Through football, we have provided hope to the hopeless and have supported families in their pursuit of a better future.
“This, above all else, is our greatest achievement, and we are profoundly grateful for the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of others”, he stressed.
In appreciating the dedication, commitment, hard work and perseverance of the players and technical staff headed by the team manager, Malam Yarma said that has been the driving force behind the team’s accomplishments.
“You have exemplified the true spirit of teamwork and sportsmanship, and your talent has brought pride and joy to our club and community”, he emphasized.
He also appreciated the support, contributions and cooperation of the Gombe State Sports Commission, security personnel and especially Gombe State Government since 2008 when the club was established up to the present for creating an enabling environment for the team and other sports activities to thrive.
Overall, Yarma expressed gratitude and acknowledged that the journey wouldn’t have been possible without the blessings of Allahu SWA, and in closing, he said, “we are not just a football team in name or on social media.
“We are dedicated individuals striving for success in and off the field. Criticism without contribution achieves nothing and we are proud to have spent 15 years on this remarkable journey. Our passion lies in youth development and we remain committed to this cause”, he stated.
