Group provides platform for displaced, HIV, PWD to voice experience

Given voice to the vulnerable, especially young women and those living with HIV and other form of discrimination was the major concern during a two day courtroom live show.
The platform, Voices for
Justice, anchored by Education as a Vaccine under the “We Lead”, programme  – aimed at fostering dialogue with the community of actions, organizations to address systemic issues affecting these individuals.
The platform also aimed at helping them seek justice and also raise awareness.
Speaking at the two day programme,  Ibeh blessing Nkechinyere, fund raising Coordinator of Education as a Vaccine, said  “So the voice of justice courtroom show, spanning two impactful days, is designed to provide a compelling platform for young women and adolescent girls, especially women who live with HIV, face vulnerability and discrimination, live with disabilities and are affected by displacement to share their lived experiences.”
Ibeh who also doubled as the
Program Officer for  “We Lead” program in Nigeria, stressed that “The event itself aims to raise awareness, seek justice and foster dialogue with the community of actions, organizations to address systemic issues affecting these individuals.
“And the objectives of the event is to create a compelling platform for young women and adolescent girls to share live experiences, increase awareness about the challenges faced by individuals living with HIV vulnerability, discrimination, disability, and in displacements, initiated dialogue to seek justice for systemic issues affecting these individuals and most importantly, encourage dialogue amongst stakeholders to address and combat these challenges.
At the end of this event, what we are expecting to see is that everybody understand the uniqueness, the unique issues that these different rights holders face when it comes to seeking justice.
” We also want to strengthen and improve conversation around how we can strengthen the justice system for right holders  to seek justice effectively.
“We also want to encourage dialogue, and most importantly, create and bring awareness to the issues that these rightholders face in the process of seeking for justice.
And under this “we lead”project main sponsor is Hivos and we have other seven organizations,include Restless development, Positive vibes among others and we education as a vaccine is the host organization for the “we lead” programs in Nigeria
