Peace seems to be gradually returning to Rivers State political space.
The Rivers State House of Assembly on Wednesday announced the withdrawal of the impeachment notice it issued to Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
The withdrawal of the impeachment notice is one of the eight-point agreement reached by the warring parties in Abuja on Monday.
It was gathered that the House led by Speaker Martins Amaewhule took the decision at their sitting at the legislative quarters in Port Harcourt on Wednesday, December 20.
According to a member of the House, Enemi Alabo-Geroge, the decision was inline with the agreements reached by stakeholders with President Bola Tinubu to stop the crisis rocking the state.
