Super Falcons defender Ashleigh Plumptre netted a hat-trick as Al-Ittihad thrashed Al-Ahly 6-2 in a Saudi Women’s Premier League clash on Friday night.
It was Plumptre’s second hat-trick for Al-Ittihad since her arrival at the club in the summer.
It would be recalled that she scored a hat-trick on matchday one against Eastern Flames FC in October.
The centre-back scored Al Ittihad’s second goal against Al-Ahly in the 29th minute.
In first half added time, Plumptre made it 4-0. She collected a pass in the midfield charged forward and unleashed a long range left-foot volley past the keeper.
Plumptre nodded home the fifth goal late in the game.
She has now scored six goals in six league outings this season.
