ACCI to reconstitute Trade Groups, Governing Council…Obegolu

The newly elected President of the Abuja Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Chief Emeka Obegolu, SAN,  Thursday said the executives of the Chamber will be reconstituting the Trade Groups and Governing Councils.

This Obegolu said is aimed at getting more members involved in the running of ACCI.

He also revealed the eight areas the new administration will be focusing on.

He stated this shortly after his inauguration as the 12th President of ACCI.

He said, “this Exco shall reconstitute the Trade Groups and Governing Councils to get more members involved in the administration of the ACCI.”

He also urge any member who is desirous of service to the Chamber to indicate interest through the DG as soon as possible.”

He said the new executive  committee will be collaborating with all the members of the Chamber so as to realize “our collective vision of a thriving business community in Abuja.”

On the focus of the new administration, Obegolu said much attention would be paid on “Improving our value proposition; Encouraging participatory membership; Infrastructural development; Professionalizing our Secretariat; Repositioning our brand; Legislative and Policy advocacy, Ease of doing business and Expanding market opportunities.”

Obegolu also honoured some of the ACCI staff that were adjudged to have excelled in their various departments.

The ten staffs got a N10,000 each from management and a certificate while other past presidents and members of the executive Committee also made personal donations.  At the end each of the staff got at least N100,000 for their dedication.
