The political crisis in Rivers State seems to be degenerating.
The state government on Wednesday ordered the demolition of the State Assembly.
NewsSpecng gathered that the demolition order is at the instance of Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara.
NewsSpecng had on Tuesday reported the defection of 27 lawmakers loyal to the immediate past governor, Nyesom Wike.
The 27 lawmakers who were elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a related development, a High Court Sitting in Port Harcourt confirmed the Speaker elected by four of the 32 member assembly, Edison Ehie as the authentic Speaker of the State Assembly .
