The Peoples Democratic Party, Kogi State governorship candidate in the November 11 2023 poll, Dino Melaye, Wednesday gave reason why he will not be contesting the outcome of the poll.
The Independent National Electoral Commission declared candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Usman Ododo, as the winner of the November 11 governorship election in the state.
Melaye said has lost confidence in the judiciary.
The PDP governorship candidate, who came a distant third in the election, made accusations on Wednesday, November 29, alleging that the court is now an APC department rather than an autonomous institution.
Dino said: “Judiciary is no longer the last hope of the ordinary people, it is now a department under the All Progressives Congress. Why should any responsible person go to the tribunal when the APC has captured the judiciary? I have lost complete confidence in the judiciary.”
