The Chief Judge of Niger State ,Justice Halima Ibrahim Abdulmalik has received an award for her commitment to the fight against corruption in the society.

The Centre For Ethics And Self Value Orientation (CESVO) while presenting the award tagged ‘ Award of Ambassador of Ethics and Conscience (AEC) ‘ to the Chief Judge said she is a beacon of hope to the masses.

The award which was presented to her by the Executive Director of Centre For Ethics And Self Value Orientation (CESVO), Prince Salihu Musa Yakubu stated that the award was in recognition of the chief Judge commitment in her fight against corruption.

 

In the same vein the Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA), in Niger State received the Ethics and Leadership Award in recognition of their concerns for violence against women girl child

Presenting the awards at the High court complexe in Minna , the Executive Director of (CESVO) a Non-Govermental Organization (NGO),based in Lokoja Kogi State Prince Salihu Musa Yakubu stated that the organization under his leadership is committed to reward a corrupt free individuals and organization and the chief Judge of Niger State was identified to be one of the finest and a corrupt free Jurist.

He stated that the Centre for Ethics and Self Value Orientation has been in the forefront of exposing corruption and Corrupt leadership in the society.

He said CESVO independently carried out descret Investigation on the Chief Judge of Niger State and found her worthy for the prestigious award.

Equally, according to him the Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) in Niger State under Barrister Bilkisu Labaran Kago could best be described as the first to be presented with the Ethics and Leadership Award in the North Central State and the first ten in the country to receive such.

He explained that FIDA, in Niger state was selected among the best integrity and ethical compliance organization and number One in the North Central State pointing out that CESVO will continue to partner with FIDA Niger and any other organizations that has proved to be corrupt free .

” our findings revealed to us that she is a corrupt free minded and a disciplinarian and also upright least corrupt professionals in Nigeria public service sector earned her this prestigious certificate, ” he stated.

He emphasize that the chairperson FIDA in Niger state was awarded the certificate of public conduct after she passed the ethical conduct and leadership integrity and listed among top (ten) most ethically upright in the Country calling on other leaders in the country to emulate the virtues of Bilkisu Labaran Kago

Receiving the award on behalf of the Chief Judge , the Deputy Chief Registrar Administration in the Niger State High court Hajiya Maryam Daso Jibo, appreciated CESVO for finding the chief Judge of Niger State worthy for such recognition.

She said Justice Halima Ibrahim Abdulmalik on assumption in office put in place professional and ethical rules for the conduct of all staff of the state Judiciary that has led to them discharging their duty efficiently and effectively.

She positioned that the award will spur the Chief judge to continue to ensure that the workers in the Judiciary will leave up to their responsibility in the discharge of their duty noting that the award means a lot to the entire Judiciary staff

In her own remarks, the Secretary FIDA in Niger State Senior Magistrate Sahura Abdulkareem explained that when she was informed of the award to be presented to FIDA she was having a mixed feelings not until she made her own Independent findings before she finally communicated to the Chairperson on the plan award by CESVO.

She commended the organization for selecting FIDA Niger State for the award assuring that that the award will spur them to perform their duty and be more committed to their service to humanity particularly on the fight against violence on girl child and vulnerable in the society.
