As Nigeria Women Journalists prepare for their triennial delegates conference scheduled for Abuja on November 25, Ladi Bala President of National Association of Women Journalists ( NAWOJ) has promised to establish a radio station to give more voice to their cause.

Speaking at the launching of her re-election campaign which was flagged off from Utako Abuja recently, she promised to consolidate on her achievement.

According to her in three years she has been able to acquire land and an office for the association in addition to organising the 32nd Anniversary of NAWOJ. a National Security Summit and National Prayers for the Peace of Nigeria.F

 

f Furthermore under her leadership , the association held her Central Working Committee ( CWC) meetings in ,Abuja, Lafia ,Katsina, Asaba, Ilorin, Abakalike as well as virtually on so many occasion.

NAWOJ also held her National Executive Council ( NEC) meetings in four states of Nasarawa, Katsina, Delta and Kwara, including those that were virtual.

In the same vein NAWOJ has partnership with ActionAid Nigeria, CUSO , Lawyers Alert, Albino Foundation, Solidarity Center, Kuka Foundation.. She Forum, and Pathfinder International. This is in addition of press statements on burning issues of national importance and robust media engagements and appearances to give the association visibility and enhanced credibility.

The association also Organised protest rally on sexual harassment in UNICAL, Cross Rivers State in partnership with ActionAid Nigeria on women’s voice and leadership project funded by Global Affairs Canada.

While unfolding her future plans, NAWOJ President, Ladi Bala assured that she pursue and ensure the building on the newly acquired land, creation of NAWOJ HERVOICE Radio

The Chairperson of Plateau State and National Coordinator of LADI BALA Campaigns, Nene Dung, who represented the DG Campaign, expressed appreciation to journalists that attended the event and with resolve to stand for truth, growth and development of NAWOJ with the understanding that Ladi Bala has proven beyond reasonable doubts to be an exceptional leader with the Midas Touch. Mrs Dung therefore, advised all NAWOJians to vote for Ladi Bala as NATIONAL PRESIDENT of NAWOJ.
