Releated Post

Nigeria’s President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan have reached a historic agreement to lift the visa ban on Nigerian travelers to the UAE.

The Presidential Spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, conformed the historic agreement in a statement on Monday evening.

He said the agreement also includes the immediate resumption of flight schedules for Etihad Airlines and Emirates Airlines to and from Nigeria.

The agreement was negotiated between the two heads of state without any immediate payment by the Nigerian government. And as part of the agreement, the UAE will make significant investments in the Nigerian economy across various sectors such as defense and agriculture.

The two presidents have also negotiated a new foreign exchange liquidity program, the details of which will be announced in the coming weeks.

President Tinubu expressed his gratitude to President Al Nahyan for his efforts to improve relations between the two countries.
