Why we Shifted Caucus , NEC Meeting –APC

Releated Post

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has given reason for the postponement of its National Caucus and National Executive Committee meetings, which were originally scheduled for Monday and Tuesday.

The ruling party said the meetings will now take place on July 18 and 19 respectively because of the president who was out of the country to attend the meeting of Heads of government and authority of the Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS.

The party’s National Secretary, Iyiola Omisore, released a statement explaining that the change was made to honor President Bola Tinubu, who was appointed as the new Chairman of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) on Sunday.

The ECOWAS chairmanship is a one-year position held by the leader of one of the member countries.

“The postponement is necessitated by the regional and sub-regional schedules and engagements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, as the new Chairman of the Economic Community of West African States. Inconveniences regretted,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Senator Abdullahi Adamu-led National Working Committee will on Monday meet with all Chairmen of APC State chapters at the national secretariat in Abuja by 1.00 pm
